Boyle Properties has been involved in Ranching, Farming, Land development and Property management since 1905. Our Great Grandfather, Louis A. Hartert, moved to Southern Idaho from Iowa and began to buy and sell farm land, and bring “settlers” into the area mostly from the Mid-west. His first job was to drive a horse drawn buggy for a Union Pacific Emigration agent showing farm properties for sale. He was sharp recognizing the potential for growth. He was able to purchase land for himself as well. His only daughter, Pearl, married Gordon Boyle who ran the business side of L.A. Hartert & Company until the 1960’s. Now the Boyle Family continues to enjoy the fruit of Mr. Hartert’s labors. Gordon Boyle’s son, Richard, expanded the holdings passing the reins on to his sons, Bruce and Gordon, in 2008. The “Boys” are now involved in property ownership and management in Idaho Falls, Oregon, Washington and California.
